Richard Shepherd’s fascination with auctions was formed as a boy attending local auctions with family.   Most Saturday mornings you could find him next to his grandparents, on the edge of his seat as he eagerly awaited for the auctioneer to call the next item.

From this passion, Shepherd Auctioneers, LLC, was created.  Auctioneer Richard Shepherd is a graduate of the coveted Reppert School of Auctioneering and licensed by the state of Indiana.  As the owner of a successful antique business, Richard is seasoned in the world of valuation, from vintage to modern pieces, and continues to develop his knowledge and skills in the market.

The principles of honesty and integrity instilled in Richard by his parents and grandparents in his youth are still priorities today.  While employing current practices and technologies, Richard still believes in the importance of a man’s word and a handshake.
